About our chess sets
Each chess set combines chess pieces and a board chosen to work together in both proportion and appearance. Scale comes first: king height, base diameter and square size are considered together to create balanced proportions. Colour, wood and finish are then assessed together, so that the pieces and board complement rather than compete with one another.
Some pairings are traditional and closely coordinated; others make deliberate use of contrast. Both components are selected for material quality, workmanship and finish, and both the chess pieces and the board are covered by our 3-year warranty.
