The lovers of coloured chess often wish to have their set in several different colours. This is why we offer the Earl chessmen in half-sets (one half-set = 16+1 pieces including the additional queen). The more colours you choose, the more discount you get!

Any ca. 5 cm (1.97 in) square-size board will be a very good match to these pieces. The most popular with these pieces is the brown ash burl Cordoba board, which is our recommendation with this set. If you really are into colours, then you might select the blue Capri or the red Bologna chess board instead. The neutral Cordoba, however, is the safest choice for any colour combination – but this is just our opinion, of course.

We are proud to be able to say that though not necessarily the cheapest colour sets in the market, the Earl hand-made chessmen are the best quality that you will find anywhere.

The pieces are weighted for the best stability.
