An outstanding luxury chess board made from the root of elmwood. Handcrafted in Florence, Italy. This board is perfect for tournament-size pieces (King’s height 3.75″ – 4.00″), especially with lacquered finish.

The veneer squares have been inlaid by hand. The patterns and the swirly grain are rich in tone and the beautiful knotting adds depth to the contrasts of the board. The impressive pattern of the wood is unique to each board.

This product is also available in a larger 60 cm size (please see the Da Vinci chess board). The Da Vinci is recommended if you are going to pair to board with club-size pieces (King’s height 4.25″ – 4.75″).
