Certificate of Authenticity – what is it and why is it important?

With all our luxury club-size chess piece sets we send a Certificate of Authenticity. It confirms the origin, materials as well as the date of purchase of the product. If you ever sell or hand down the set you purchased, we advise to attach this certificate. It not only increases the value of the set even after decades but helps in identifying the set and where its origins are. Unfortunately there are always cheap copies of much lesser quality out there, and this is one of the reasons this certificate exists.

We keep a GDPR-compliant register of the certificates that show the date of purchase, the city and the country it was sold to. It is possible to track the origin of the set from us even after decades.

The Certificate of Authenticity shows the unique serial number of the set. The certificate comes signed by our company representative.
