The Andalucia chess board is characterised by a strong graphic surface and a clearly defined contrast. It is crafted from Italian poplar wood and finished with a stained “ebony tiger” pattern, giving the board a distinctive appearance while remaining practical for regular play.

The veneer construction keeps the board relatively light without compromising durability. The stained surface provides visual depth and consistent contrast, allowing chessmen to remain clearly legible during play.

The Andalucia chess board measures 60.0 cm (23.6 in) overall and features 6.0 cm (2.36 in) squares. It is well suited for club‑size chessmen. Within the Design Chess collection, the board pairs particularly well with chessmen made from reddish padauk, where the colour contrast becomes especially pronounced.
