The Granada chess pieces are among the more ornamental designs in the collection. The knight has a pronounced, flowing mane, while the king and queen have more elaborate upper sections. Despite the ornament, each piece remains easy to recognise in play.

Handcrafted in India, the pieces are available in boxwood with ebony and in lacquered boxwood with lacquered ebony. The unlacquered version has a more natural surface, while the lacquered version is smoother and more reflective. Both versions share the same rounded, decorative profiles.

With a king height of 4.4 in, the pieces are weighted for steady handling during play. The king base diameter is 4.7 cm (1.85 in), and the pawn base diameter is 3.7 cm (1.46 in). These proportions suit 6.0 cm (2.36 in) squares well. Additional queens are included, and the pieces come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
