This luxury board is one of the gems of the Design Chess. The striking appearance of the Walnut root is unmatched. To perfect its look, it has been given a high-gloss lacquer finish. The result is astonishing.
The Florentine artisans that we work with have made the astonishingly swirling texture patterns look breathtakingly beautiful. The pattern of the wood is unique to each board. The deep brown colour tones resonate very elegantly with both light and dark pieces. The squares have been inlaid by hand.
This 60 cm (23.6. inch) board with 6 cm (2.36 inch) squares can be combined with any of our club-size (King’s height 4.25″ – 5.00″) pieces. We especially recommend pairing it with any lacquered chessmen but it makes a great playing board for non-lacquered sets as well.
